    Terms and Conditions

    All students MUST agree to and adhere to our Policies prior to training. 

    General Policies

    • We DO NOT ALLOW SHOCK COLLARS, PRONG COLLARS, OR CHOKE COLLARS IN OUR CLASSES.    
    • Any canid that is part wild canid (wolf or coyote) and that is not 100% domestic dog will not be allowed in class.
    • Any dog which, in the opinion of the training instructor, is uncontrollable, unpredictable, or aggressive will be removed from the class.
    • There should be one primary handler who attends every class, and up to one assistant.
    • Family members other than the primary handler are welcome to attend, but for consistency sake, should watch the class and then participate in training at home, under the direction of the primary handler.
    • Anyone aged 8 - 17 must have a parent or responsible adult as a primary handler during every class.  
    • Children 7 years of age and under are not allowed to attend this class due to the potentially demanding locations.
    • All dogs must always remain on leash.
    • All owners must always clean up after their dogs.
    • Female dogs in heat are not allowed. Owners may request a transfer to the next available class.
    • We require that your dog be current on vaccinations, as per your veterinarian.  For group classes, werequire proof of rabies vaccine, the DHPP vaccine, the Canine Influenza vaccine and strongly recommend yearly Bordetella vaccine.   
    • All dogs MUST be on flea & tick prevention year-round.
    • There will be no refunds for any portion of a class that is missed due to personal schedule conflicts.

    Cancellation and Refund Policies

    • This policy applies to all classes.
    • All cancellations and transfer requests must be received via email.
    • There will be no refunds for any portion of a class or other service that is missed due to personal schedule conflicts.
    • Full credit/transfer/refund if Ohana Dog Training cancels an entire session of a class or other service.
    • Credit vouchers will be given in the event that a single class is missed due to inclement weather or instructor illness and cannot be made up on the same time and day the class was originally offered.  If a make-up class is offered on the same time and day that      the class was originally offered, but the student cannot attend due to personal schedule conflicts, no credit will be given.
    • If a student cancels a class or other service 14 calendar days or more in advance of class start date, a 15% non-refundable processing fee will apply to the refund.
    • If client cancels a class or other service after the start date, the refund will be prorated based on the date of the cancellation request, and 25% non-refundable processing fee will apply to the refund.

    Absentee Policy

      

    • Owners should sign up for a class session that they can attend.
    • In fairness to everyone, and in an effort to keep class sizes consistent, make up classes will not be available.      
    • Attendance by the primary handler at orientation is required unless Ohana Dog Training receives written communication stating  the absence. The handler may be dismissed from class, with all non-refundable processing fees applied if they do not attend orientation.
